Resident Service Coordinator
Methuen Housing Authority has a Resident Services Coordinator who provides support to our residents. Our Resident Services Coordinator, Johanna Ortiz, will be glad to assist you with referrals and paperwork. Johanna also organizes weekly activities at 36 Oakland Avenue and 101 Broadway and meets with families at the Tudor Street office on Thursdays from 1-3 pm. Supportive Housing Programs
The Methuen Housing Authority and Agespan, formerly known as Elder Service of the Merrimac Valley, Inc., has formed a partnership to provide a Supportive Housing Program for the developments located at 22 Mystic St., 24 Mystic St., and 75 Edgewood Ave. This program provides an on-site coordinator and an overnight on-site attendant in the event of emergencies. Family Self-Sufficiency Program
Methuen Housing Authority offers the FSS program to anyone with a Section 8 voucher through MHA or any resident living in MHA’s Federal Public Housing (Jade Street Development). The head of household OR any adult household member is eligible to participate. This program is free and voluntary.
This HUD-funded program is designed to promote financial independence by assisting participants in increasing their earned income through case management, supportive services, education, employment counseling, financial counseling, and more. Participants that increase their earned income during their FSS contract of participation are able to earn escrow credit which they may receive upon successful completion of the program and goal achievement.
